Old Fort Loft is a contemporary three story apartment in the heart of downtown Fort Smith. You may also haul a trailer to the cabin if you need to, but anything longer than 16 feet will not make it down the winding dirt road. If it is longer than 16 feet, you may park your trailer at a nearby community building and ride to the cabin from there. The community building is about a mile from the cabin and is frequently used by area riders. We have had guests use this community building for parking their trailer with no issues at all.

Perhaps you'll want to visit 5 of Arkansas local wineries which are within 30 minutes of the cottage (including Cowie Wine Cellars and Vineyard, right here in Paris). There are also a lot of 'antique/resale' shops within a 30 - 45 minute drive of the cottage ! This is a great lay-over spot for those traveling up to Eureka Springs (98 miles away) or Branson, MO (137 miles away). You can also enjoy all that Fort Smith has to offer ~ From Museums to 'Cherokee Casino' which is just across the Oklahoma border, only 8 mi. from Ft. Smith. It's 41 miles from the Cottage to Fort Smith ! Of course you'll want to 'relax' as well ! Our kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to cook up a great meal, or you may want to use our BBQ pit and have a cookout, then enjoy it under the gazebo : ) The bathroom is small, but 'cozy' and you'll enjoy relaxing in the antique claw-foot tub (with shower) No matter what time of year you come, there's always something to do in the area. Even in the winter ! Paris is on the 'Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights' and our community turns its downtown square into a winter wonderland each Christmas season. Postcards could be made from the beauty 'fall foliage' in our area. Mt. Magazine (Tallest point in Arkansas) - 19 beautiful miles to the top from our cottage. Be sure to take in a 'sunset' dinner there ! Whether you just want to get away for a few days to 'unwind', or looking for a quaint place to stay for your Anniversary, our 'cottage' is sure to be a welcome retreat for you ! You are also getting the use of the entire home. Even though it is 'in town', it is in a relatively 'private', quiet setting. If you consider the cost of 'gas' to stay in a location further out, we believe our cottage is actually one of the best deals in this area and comparable to the cost of hotels. And you can have 'peace of mind' .. We are located within blocks of the police, fire station and hospital ! CV's family grocery, Walmart & Dollar Tree are in town. Washer & Dryer are located in the Kitchen Area. Ladies: Please bring your own washcloth or makeup removal pads for makeup removal. If you fear the sound of a dirt dauber buzzing nearby, we might not be the place for you. If an ant gives you shivers down your spine, by all means, continue with your search. If a thin layer of country dust is not part of your vacation vision, we might not be what you are looking for. Secluded in the Washburn Valley, this house makes the perfect getaway for those looking to escape the chaos of the city. If you love to be greeted by friendly horses, watching cattle graze and a rooster keep his hens close to the coop, then this is the place for you! Welcome to our little farm! We love when our guests feel at home in our little farmhouse. Sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of tea while watching the animals graze. This is a place to relax and unwind from the the hustle and bustle while enjoying a little taste of farm life. We are approximately 15 minutes from Greenwood, AR where there are a number of restaurants and grocery stores. We live on 140 acres in a more rural setting with large, oak trees surrounding the back side of the house, an older traditional barn, and plenty of nature surrounding us! We have a back patio with chairs, a table, and a BBQ that we would love for you to use! *We provide propane. During the summer months the fire pit outside is a great place to make s'mores and gaze and the night sky! In the Fall and Winter months the fireplace inside makes for a cozy evening setting! We provide bath towels, toiletries, cookware, a toaster, a microwave, a coffee maker (including coffee/creamer), and bedding! If you have any special requests, please let us know and we are more than happy to accommodate if possible. We love animals, we currently have 4 horses and 1 mule, 11 cattle, 15 chickens, 3 dogs and a barn cat. Our animals have the sweetest personalities, they each have a special place on our farm and we dedicate much of our time to them. You’re welcome to join us outside while we feed, we love introducing our animals and telling our guests their stories. Feeding time is an exciting time for the animals, so we just ask that you take extra precaution if you’re out there while we are feeding them. The horses and cattle are always kept behind the steel pipe fencing. Two stocked ponds, 140 acres of pasture and timber surrounding the house, steel pipe fencing and the old barn complete the charm and quality of the beautiful home. Couples & families can easily relax and enjoy the outdoors. * We do offer fishing poles and limited tackle, a 12 ft boat with paddles and 2 kayaks to fish or explore the ponds. We have a few life jackets but if you need a certain fit please bring your own. We have some great restaurants and coffee shops close by! All the places I recommend locally are about 10-15 minutes from our home. The number of guests able to sleep varies. We have 4 beds and 2 couches. However, the number of guests able to gather within the house can vary between 20-30 people. We offer a smoker for an additional fee for guest to use during the stay at the ranch. Firewood is provided, along with a fryer, and propane. Please let me know prior to your arrival if you’re interested in using the smoker during the stay, it does get rented out around the local area at different events. Please note a few important details: We do require you to sign a waiver upon check in! *Our animals do freely roam on our property, so if you are nervous around horses, cattle, chickens or dogs then please take this into consideration before booking. If you would like the dogs to be kenneled upon arrival please let us know. They are able to roam around the home, however the larger animals (horses and cattle) will not be able to approach you unless you cross through the steel pipe fencing. *All of our animals are friendly. The only thing we ask is that the animals are never chased, mishandled, or treated improperly. This can stress them out. If you respect them, they will respect you! We will provide treats for all of the animals so that you can feed them and interact with them if you’d like. *This should go without saying, but there are livestock droppings around. Farm life, right? *If you would like to join us while we feed the animals to learn more about them, please let us know and we will arrange feeding times around your schedule. *We do allow pets, but please let us know before arrival if you’ll be bringing a pet so we are aware since we have dogs as well. We ask that the animals are fully potty trained, and that they don’t get on the furniture. *We do not have a covered parking area or garage, it is all open. *We are currently working on creating a wedding venue in the older wood barn we would love to get ideas and input! The Cass House is a 3BR/2BA house with full kitchen, dining & living areas. The house sits on 10 acres of land & is surrounded by the Ozark National Forest. You can access the Mulberry River from the property, a short 100-yard walk from the house. We are centrally located to a variety of outdoor attractions & entertainment. It is located on Hwy 215 and is about 4 mi to Byrd’s Adventure Center, 3 mi to Turner Bend, 3 mi to Mulberry Mountain, and 2 mi to Redding Recreation Area. The space The house is 110+ years old and has been renovated throughout the years. The kitchen has been newly updated and is equipped for any cooking/dining needs. The master bathroom has also been updated and includes a whirlpool tub. There is a lot of space for living and dining. The living room includes a fireplace and entertainment center. The Cass House is ideal for families and small groups. Overall, the house is very charming and inviting space with lots of natural light to enjoy with friends and family. The exterior of the house is surrounded by 2 covered patios and one deck to provide 360 views of the gorgeous natural Ozark National Forest landscape. There is an outdoor grill available as well as an outdoor fire pit. As we are in the Mulberry River Valley, our visitors have been known to catch beautiful sunsets from the back porch. It is a very peaceful and serene setting and a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or nightcap when the weather is amicable. The Cass House is a historic staple in the area and has been home to our family for decades. Marie's is a very clean beautiful 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath vacation home in Subiaco, Ar. Just cross the street and you are at Subiaco Abbey. Marie's house, built in 1941, was completely renovated in 2020 and sits on 3 acres. The kitchen has beautiful new cabinets and new appliances. Luxury vinyl planks cover the floors throughout the house. The dining area includes a large dining table with 6 chairs. Each bedroom has their own private bath with tub and shower. Plus there is a powder room for guests not staying the night. The full laundry is located off the kitchen and has an ironing board and iron. There is a patio in the back where you can relax and watch the sun set or watch the cows graze. If you want a perfect get away, Marie's is your home away from home. Come see us.

Just 30 minutes from Fayetteville, AR and Razorback games, each Deluxe yurt cabin is built on a 40x40 deck overlooking the mountains with a private hot tub on the deck, a queen bed, fully furnished kitchen, a 3/4 bath with a walk-in shower, a utility room with washer/dryer, central heat and air, plus all linens, towels, soap, and shampoo provided. Each yurt has free wifi, a flat screen TV, Blu-ray player, local TV reception, a gas log flame stove, and a gas grill off the deck (gas provided). Our Yurts are designed with "open architecture" with the living room/bedroom areas designated by the arrangement of the furniture. The kitchen and dining areas adjoin the living area with the usual kitchen appliances (stove, refrigerator), plus a microwave, crock pot, coffee pot, all kitchen utensils, condiments (salt/pepper, coffee, sugar, sugar substitutes) and paper products (towels, napkins) provided. The utility room and the bathroom are separate rooms. The bath has a sink, toilet, walk-in shower, medicine chest, towel shelves, with shampoo provided as well as matching bath robes. In addition to the washer/dryer, the utility room has an iron/ironing board and recycle bins. We do not supply detergent for the washer. On your cabin s deck, in addition to your hot tub, you have a table and chairs from which to enjoy the beautiful mountain views. And you have a gas grill off the deck with all grilling utensils provided if you like to barbecue. The grills are hooked into our main propane tanks, so all you need to do is bring the food you like to cook. Then, weather permitting, you can eat at the deck table overlooking the view, or inside at your dining table. As we say, "Your yurt is yours," but we also have a free DVD lending library with lots of movies in our main office, which is a ten minute walk (or short drive) from your cabin. You have unlimited access to the lending library day and night. StoneWind Retreat is located on a 160-acre mountain top with over a mile of walking trails, numerous stone circles, standing stones, and plenty of other things to see if you like to get out and about. We invite our Guests to enjoy it all--or simply bask in the quiet peace of the cabin. At StoneWind Retreat we value comfort and privacy. Your yurt is yours to enjoy; we are available at a phone call if you need something or have questions. Otherwise you can enjoy the privacy of your cabin, deck, and hot tub. We do check the hot tub chemicals once a day around noon but we come onto the deck quietly, get it done, and leave quietly. You can also schedule a massage from one of our independent massage therapists. Contact information will be in the confirmation message sent after booking. You can also choose to take one of our 3-hr classes in either meditation or qigong. There is an additional $150 fee for any of the classes. The classes are not usually available on weekends; however, you can check at time of booking if you are interested in a class to see if it will be available during your stay. Other things to note We are located on a 160-acre mountain top with panoramic views of the mountains, a little over a mile of walking trails, 5 stone gardens to visit, and multiple standing stones to see.
